“Po Pachei” is the literal translation of the words “go green” in Tamil.
At Po Pachei, we put our own trendy and fresh spin on sustainable fashion and hand-make our items with care. We do not mass produce so all of our products are unique, and we have worked out a way to make the process of making hand-painted custom clothing more efficient. Our inventory is composed of reworked clothing and clothing that uses up-cycled materials. We intend to make our ready to wear collections by employing seamstresses from South India in a fair and ethical manner.
According to statistics published by UNEP, the fashion industry makes up for 10% of the world’s annual carbon emissions. To minimize our carbon footprint, all of our materials are sourced from lightly used, thrifted, and consignment pieces. For every article of clothing that you purchase from Po Pachei, one less newly made article of clothing is consumed. Our process of creating unique pieces is rooted in giving a second life to the original articles of clothing.
There are not many sustainable fashion designers dealing with Web 3 at the moment, which is something we aim to change. With Ethereum having merged to proof of stake in September 2022, the environmental impact has been reduced drastically, making it possible for us to launch in October 2022 and offer our Web 3 users sustainable custom NFT inspired fashion. In the future, as our brand expands, we plan to offer MetaVerse fashion components to go with our customized pieces and explore other chains.
